Biography

Darrell was born and raised in Regina, SK where he graduated from Martin Collegiate in 1968 and married his childhood sweetheart, Lynn Gullacher, one year later. Immediately after graduating, Darrell accepted an opportunity with the Federal Government as an air traffic controller and relocated to Ottawa for advanced training. He finished at the top of his class and completed his practical training in Regina. Shortly thereafter, was promoted to Winnipeg Air Traffic Control Tower where he worked for four years. It was in Manitoba that Darrell's three beloved children, Heather, Dean and Corinne, were born. In 1975, Darrell had the opportunity to buy a retail lighting franchise and over the next 5 years, opened up 3 new branches of the company in Western Canada. Having built the business to a successful franchise chain, Darrell sold the company and went on to pursue business interests in the area of his passion...aviation and flying. In 1980, a long-time friend invited Darrell to join a business partnership in the farm machinery industry. This venture took him around the world importing and exporting products from Australia, South America, China and Europe. He was a managing director of this business until he moved to Kelowna, BC in 1990 where he joined his wife Lynn as a realtor with RE/MAX . In order to broaden his investment expertise, Darrell became licensed with the BC Securities Commission and is qualified to advise his clients regarding both their real estate and stock market portfolios. Darrell and his wife moved to Vancouver in 2000 and have been enjoying the vibrant West Coast Lifestyle.
